When Philippolis and its museum are mentioned the Witblits Festival comes to the
mind almost simultaneously. Each year, visitors from all over flock to Philippolis to
attend the fair.
The museum exhibitions portray the Griqua history, Emily Hobhouse’s Spinning and Weaving Schools, a horse mill and an open-air oven.
This museum was opened on 2 March 1982.
